If you’ve decided to get your home pressure washed, you’ll want to make sure you do a few things to prepare beforehand. Here are some tips for how to prepare your home for a pressure washing service.
Move cars away from the house
The pressure washing team will need to be able to walk around your home so that they can properly wash the siding and have room for ladders if they’re doing your gutters. Make sure you move cars away from your house ahead of time so that they don’t have trouble accessing the areas they need to pressure wash.
Before After
Seal windows and doors
If you’re having the pressure washing service clean your siding, make sure all windows/doors are closed and use caulk to seal cracks. This will ensure only the exterior of your home gets wet and that everything inside stays dry and protected.
Put away anything that doesn’t need to get wet
If you want things like patio cushions, pillows, decorations, etc. to stay dry, it’s best to put them out of the way in either your garage or another place away from the area being pressure washed. Your pressure washing service professional will only be pressure washing surfaces like sidewalks and siding, but some of the sprays could cause items nearby to get wet, so it’s best to remove anything that you don’t want to get wet.
What about items like furniture?
As far as rocking chairs and patio furniture are concerned, ProClean will handle that for no extra charge! We will also do our best to cover or spray around plants so that you don’t have to move them or worry about them!
